half way through!!

So, I am halfway through my sophomore year. I am now on my christmas break and enjoying every minute of it. I have an entire month off! So, to recap the semester, I did very well. I was very pleased with my grades and the effort I put into my classes. At the beginning of the semester I didn't realize that taking 18 hours was going to be so hard. Halfway through, I realized that I needed to step it into high gear. I began putting more hours into my studying while also trying to balance the school work, friends, and coming home. Aside from coming home the few weekends for Trunk or Treat, a hunting break, and the occasional visit home, I didn't rush home every chance I had. I have made a lot of friends who keep me company while I am at school. I have a new friend and roommate Shelley who keeps me very busy and occupied, as do my other friends. Which is why I had to stay just one more day at school and spent another night with my friends before we separated for a month!
As far as next semester, I haven't registered for my classes but I need to do it soon. I know the classes I will be taking, I just need to sign up before they are full. I am hoping I can be out of school by my fourth year even if that means taking some online classes...
There is always the question about boys too. No new boyfriends, just potentials is all. They are too much trouble and way too much work. I have more important things to worry about...
Unfortunately, I'm not quite ready for Christmas. I still have some shopping left to do, but I am making most of the gifts so that always makes it easier on a college student. Maybe some popsicle birdhouses, who knows? Well, that's it for now. Check back later for an update.

at a glance.

I am going to try doing this blog thing one more time. I hope that you will be able to keep up with me a lot easier now!

This year at a glance:

So, I am almost halfway done with my sophomore year in college. I am taking 18 hours which is pretty rough sometimes. I am still working in the dorm at the front desk checking ID's, doing paper work and what not. So, for the most part, I stay pretty busy with school work, and "work" work. Although, my grades are good. No worries. Well, Biochemistry is a little rougher than I thought, but I'm hanging in there. I really enjoy my Spanish class. It's going well. I can also say the same for my two history classes. I am taking HIS 221 which is History of America up to 1865. I am also taking HIS 390 which his Genocides of the 20th century. That class can be very numbing sometimes. I am also taking GUI 250 which is a leadership class. It sounds like a lot, but I really want to get out of here in four years! Not that I don't love my school but, I think we all understand.

Like I said, I love my school. It has such a great atmosphere. I have made a lot of friends on campus and also at the churches. I am kind of church hopping. They are all too good to choose just one! My dorm is a lot of fun too. I have made a lot of new and friendly neighbors. A few weeks ago, my roommate moved out, so I have a private room all to myself, which is very nice. However, my friend's roommate is moving to Florida so she needs a roommate and will be moving in with me next semester. That is pretty much all that is going on right now. Midterms are over but finals are right around the corner. Thanksgiving break is coming soon, so I can't wait until then. So, one more semester and I will be a junior in college. Wow. I will try to update this new blog about once a week, but don't hold me to it! (just a few friendly reminders will do it).

Until next time,
Jackie
